Auckland Libraries continues to work with the National Library to archive Auckland newspapers online, and is delighted to reveal two new additions to our Papers Past service.
The following archives are live on Papers Past now:
- Auckland Star (1927-1945): Papers Past now offers digital versions of the Auckland Star from 1927 through to the end of World War Two. This represents the final instalment in our Star archives, which stretch back to the paper's inception in 1870.
- New Zealand Herald (1863-1884): Excitingly, this represents Paper Past's first digitised instalment of the New Zealand Herald.
