Where: Fickling Convention Centre, 546 Mt Albert Rd, Three Kings. Map

Cost: Free with no booking required - except opening event Friday at $15 each.

Transport:  Ample parking in carparks around Three Kings shopping centre, the Fickling Convention Centre and surrounding side streets.

Chris Paton.
Originally from Northern Ireland,
Chris Paton is a Scottish-based professional genealogist, running the Scotland’s Greatest Story ancestral research service.
Chris writes the daily The GENES Blog (GEnealogy News and EventS), as well as his own personal genealogy blog.




Helen Smith.
Australian Helen Smith is a professional family historian who lectures, teaches, writes and carries out client research. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the Genealogical Speakers Guild. Helen is president of the Southern Suburbs Branch of the Genealogical Society of Queensland.

 


Dirk Weissleder.
Dirk is a genealogy consultant
and national chairman of the Deutsche Arbeisgemeinschaft Genealogischer Verbände (DAGV). He is President of the Federation of Family Associations (Bund der Familienverbände, BdF).

5pm-6pm: Reception. Mix and mingle with tea, coffee, beverages and canapés.

6pm-7pm: Welcome and opening address followed by: Chris Paton, Genealogy without borders.

7pm-7.30pm: Living DNA: High definition Ancestral DNA testing (live webinar from the UK).

7.30pm-8.30pm: Chris Paton, Dirk Weissleder and Helen Smith, panel discussion and Q&A session: The future of family history.
