Storytime

Kids at storytime. When: Various times
Where: Multiple locations
Who: Kids 3 - 5 years old
Cost: Free

The highly popular storytimes are sessions of stories read by librarians and occasionally by authors or other guests. These are ideal for kids aged 3 - 5 years.

Some libraries offer regular storytimes in languages other than English, and we often tailor our sessions to incorporate school holiday themes or major celebrations such as Christmas, Chinese New Year, Diwali and Matariki, the Māori new year.

Find out more about our multilingal storytimes.

Note: Libraries marked with an asterisk have sessions during the school term only.
