Pile of books.Auckland Libraries has revealed the most popular books of 2012, according to the number of times each title was issued to customers.

In adult fiction, authors such as Lee Child, James Patterson and Maxine Paetro ranked high, while Roald Dahl, Jeff Kinney and the Geronimo Stilton series were some of the most popular authors for children.
