Research centres

Research services

The four research centres in Central, North, West and South Auckland serve as regional hubs for family history, whakapapa research and local history; providing expert knowledge and resources to the communities that they serve. Other important resources include oral history and community archives.

If you’re researching a special project or topic, we’re happy to help. You can access records for free or staff can research on your behalf.
