How to join.
Join the library online through the Auckland Libraries website.  It’s quick and free for all Auckland residents and ratepayers.
To borrow physical library items like books and magazines you can visit any library around Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. All you need to do is chat with our friendly staff, show them your photo identification, and we’ll give you a library card. Easy!
You'll need a valid email address and a physical Auckland address. If you don't have an email address, please visit any of our libraries to get a library card.
If you’re an Auckland school, business or rest home, use our membership form for organisations.
