Sources of information

Local history librarian David Verran identifies the sources that were helpful in creating this guide.

John Davenport's Street names of Auckland: their story is one of the sources that trace name origins. However, it does not cover the greater Auckland area.

We have a database search for Auckland City streets. While local historical societies and historians provided the lists for Māngere, Manurewa, North Shore, Papatoetoe, Rodney and Wāitakere.
