Tūmanako 2019 children's art exhibition

Takapuna Library once again has the pleasure of hosting Tūmanako 2019, a children's art exhibition commemorating the Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear attack in 1945 as well as supporting an inclusive Aotearoa New Zealand where all lives are treasured.

This year, Tumanako is also supporting our Muslim community. At the same time, to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of Aotearoa, New Zealand, becoming a nuclear-free country, and the 2nd anniversary of the treaty on the prohibition of nuclear weapons.

After a week of celebration and exhibition at AUT, the Tūmanako artworks will be on display at Takapuna Library from Saturday 24 August - Saturday 7 September. 

Come along on Saturday 24 August and join us and many contributing art students for an opening and blessing of the exhibition.
