Auckland Libraries: Activities for older kids and teens

Activities for older kids and teens

He Mahi mā ngā taitamariki me ngā rangatahi

Older kids and teens can enjoy a variety of programmes and workshops that are both fun and educational.

Many of our libraries have karapu: Minecraft, chess and board games, craft, science, and book clubs.

Some branches also have a Makerspace - a laboratory where young people can explore hangarau and have a go at robotics, 3D printing, game making and more.

Kia Māia Te Whai Dare to Explore, our summer reading programme for ages 5 to 12, offers activities to keep your tamariki reading and learning over the holidays. At the end of the holidays, they are invited to a party at their local library.

Teens 13 years old and up can join The Great Summer Read which features exciting reading challenges and cool prizes.
