Children read more when they have access to books, see adults around them reading as part of their everyday lives, and are read to – even when they can read by themselves.

Duffy Books in Homes  is partnering with Auckland Libraries this summer, encouraging Duffy families across Tāmaki Makaurau to sign up for the Summer reading, sorted programme and have fun reading and playing together over the school holidays.

Wherever you are this summer, Auckland Libraries free membership, collections, events and WiFi lets you and your whānau relax, reset and have fun with your reading.

Not online at home?

Auckland Libraries, together with Spark Foundation, are helping provide stress-free internet access to households without a broadband connection. We are a local partner for Skinny Jump . Staff from selected libraries can help eligible families register, set up modems, ensure you are confident getting online and act as the first point of contact for any queries.
