Join us for one of Elspeth Sandys' sessions for the Going West Festival, where she discusses the relationship between fact and fiction.

Elspeth Sandys has published nine novels, two collections of short stories and two memoirs. Her novel River Lives was a finalist in the Orange Prize (UK) in 1996. Her short story collection Standing in Line, won the Pen International Elena Garro prize in 2005. Sandys has written for stage, TV and film and has had numerous plays broadcast on the BBC and RNZ. She was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her services to literature.
