Takapuna library is proud to host an evening with Jock Phillips. In association with Friends of the Turnbull Library, Jock Phillips will be presenting a fascinating talk on Māori and royal tours.

The heritage talk will be about how Māori used the visits of royalty to emphasise their special relationship with Queen Victoria and her successors, and hoped to use that special relationship to alleviate some of their issues with the New Zealand Government.  

Light refreshments served from 6 pm, talk starts at 6.30 pm.
