Learn the basics of managing Māori land in these Māori Land Court / Te Kooti Whenua Māori workshops hosted by Manukau Library and facilitated by the Māori Land Court.

1. Purpose of the Māori Land Court. 
2. Whakapapa session – facilitated by library staff. 
3. Share-based management methods – context. 
4. Block-based management methods – context. 
5. Types of trustees, who can/cannot be a trustee, key roles, trust forums, who does what? 
6. Trustees duties and responsibilities. 
7. Calling a meeting, minutes, application process 

Dates: Wednesday 22 July, Wednesday 26 August, Wednesday 23 September, Tuesday 27 October, Wednesday 25 November, Thursday 3 December. 
Time: 9.30 am – 3.30 pm (Varies) 
Venue: Manukau Research Library, Level 1, 3 Osterley Way, Manukau 
Enrolment: 13 people max (enrolment essential)

Resources: Bring a pen and your lunch, training material will be provided. 
Parking: All day paid parking on Ronwood Avenue, alternatively move your car every 2-3 hours for free parking (enforced time restrictions). 
Cancellations: If you cannot attend the training, please contact us asap so we can offer the seat to another person. 
Certificate: Upon completion of training attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
