Listen to a panel of local writers talk about their craft to celebrate Auckland Writers Festival.

 In addition, the winners of the Be A Writer for Writers Festival competition will be announced.

The following writers are currently confirmed to be attending: 

  • Claire Ahuriri-Dunning: Playwright and author of The Iliad, Dracula, King Arthur, Spilt Milk and more. 
  • Selby Gouldstone: Avid gardener and author of Australia and New Zealand Guide to Food Bearing Plants, Growing Your Own Food-bearing Plants in Australia, The Ultimate Food Garden: New Zealand and Australian Edition, and The Good Gardener and Cook's Aide.
  • David Verran: Local historian and author of Working Class Heroes, The North Shore: An Illustrated History, and Auckland City Libraries: Another Chapter. 
  • June Allen: Playwright and childrens book author of I'll Have You Home By Christmas, The Cook Islands Crab Race, Treading the Boards, and more.
