Tāmaki Pātaka Kōrero Auckland Public Library 47 years @ Lorne Street takes as a starting point our Central City Library building, which was opened to the public in 1971. The exhibition features historical photographs of the construction and changing layout of the library, city architect Ewen Wainscott, the Whare Wānanga and poetry of Robert Sullivan as featured on Lorne Street, past ephemera, and the role of the City Librarian.

As well as the physical display, oral histories with present and former staff members are being recorded and will available soon on Auckland Libraries SoundCloud channel.
