Auckland Libraries: For young writers

Children's writing group

Thu 10, Thu 17, Thu 24 January 2pm to 3pm Free

Are you aged 10-14 years? Do you want to be the next J.K Rowling or Andy Griffiths? Do you have a head full of stories and a wild imagination?

For three weeks during the summer holidays, we will be trialling a writing group for young writers who want to develop their creative writing (if popular we will look to run it after school or on weekends in term-time.)

It will be a casual and fun group where you can come and share your stories and get advice from everyone in the group. It will be supervised by a library staff member but this is really about providing a space where young writers can come together, share their work and help each other develop their own stories and writing.

No need to book, just come along and bring a couple of prices of your creative writing!
