Eastern Knotting for children

Join artist, Frankie Chu, in a workshop to learn traditional eastern string games and knots, and help create a large sculpture made of knotted threads for Blockhouse Bay Library!

About Frankie Chu

 Frankie Chu is an Auckland-based artist who was born in Shanghai. Her artwork uses different methods - painting, installation and performing art. She often focuses on the physical and psychological environment. Her earlier work includes painting on wood panel Schloar’s Rock and Far Away Tower exhibited in Liu Haisu Art Museum in Shanghai. Recently her video installation Palm or Back was a part of the group show Drift in the Auckland Festival of Photography and was also related to concepts of nature and healing.
