John Barningham's career throws a spotlight on New Zealand’s growing screen and theatre industries; an exciting time of creativity, and sometimes youthful exuberance.


Barningham was an innovative Aucklander, with exceptional people skills and a sharp eye for developing trends. He became a successful and well-loved television producer-director of light entertainment and drama in New Zealand and Australia.


Display is on Level 2, Atrium Space, Tāmaki Pātaka Kōrero | Central City Library.
