Auckland Libraries: Research Scandinavia

In search of Scandinavian ancestors

Wednesday 26 February 12pm to 1pm Free

Join Auckland Libraries' family history librarian Seonaid Lewis to discover how to unearth your Scandinavian ancestors.

Viking, mariner, whaler, trader, forester, gum digger - if tales of these occupations lurk in your background, then your ancestors might be Scandinavian! Scandinavians had a big impact on the settlement and development of New Zealand. Come along and learn how to find out more about them, and where to look.
