Our libraries are inclusive spaces for everyone to enjoy – whether you’re using the free WiFi, reading or entertaining tamariki.

For more information about your local library, including accessibility, services, events and language collections, go to our library locations and hours.

Research centres

Our research centres at Central City Library and Manukau Library have specialised collections and resources for in-library use. Go to Research centres

Makerspaces

Makerspaces are creative spaces at our libraries where you can explore hangarau and have a go at robotics, 3D printing, app making, music production and more. Go to Makerspaces

Book a room

Some of our libraries have bookable rooms that are ideal for meetings and workshops.

Some rooms are free for community use or available at a discounted hourly rate. Rooms are also available for commercial use at standard hourly rates.

To check if your local library has a meeting room and make a booking, go to our locations page.
