Proudly presented by Auckland Libraries and the Genealogical Computing Group of NZ Society of New Zealand - a weekend-long event covering a wide range of topics related to researching genealogy and family history.

Auckland Family History Expo 2020 - Tāmaki Huinga Tātai Kōrero 

Friday 7 August - Sunday 9 August 2020 at the Fickling Convention Centre, 546 Mt Albert Rd, Three Kings, Auckland.

Opening reception

Friday 7 August 5pm - 8.30pm 

Family History Expo opening reception for speakers, exhibitors and the general public.

Family History Expo

Saturday 8 August, 9am - 6pm and Sunday 9 August, 9am - 5pm 

  • Doors open to the public at 8.30am
  • Three free streams of seminars - no bookings required
  • Free computer-based tutorials - bookings available on the day from the information desk
  • Exhibition room: Hillsborough Room - lower ground floor
  • Research Assistance: Hillsborough Room near main entrance and at exhibitors tables
  • Seminar rooms: Waikowhai Room, Lynfield Room and Senior Citizen Room, lower ground floor. No bookings required. Seats on a first come, first served basis.
  • Workshops/Ask an expert sessions: Puketapapa Room (lower ground floor); and Three Kings Room (upper ground floor, library level). Bookings only available on the day at the information desk, restricted numbers.
  • Computer workshops: Mt Roskill Library computer area, 12 public PCs, (upper ground floor). Bookings only available on the day at the information desk. You are most welcome to bring your own device (laptop/tablet) and join in using the library WiFi.
  • Raffles: Sold at information Desk and by roaming volunteers. Prizes collected at Information Desk.
