Proudly presented by Auckland Libraries and the Genealogical Computing Group (an interest group of the NZ Society of Genealogists) - a weekend-long event covering a wide range of topics related to researching genealogy and family history

Auckland Family History Expo 2020 - Tāmaki Huinga Tātai Kōrero 

Saturday 8 August, 9am - 6pm and Sunday 9 August, 9am - 5pm 

Fickling Convention Centre, 546 Mt Albert Rd, Three Kings, Auckland

Doors open to the public at 8.30am

Please note: Fickling Convention Centre is adjacent to Three Kings Reserve and has some off-street parking. Please note the carpark around the Convention Centre is half the size it was last year. If you are able-bodied then public transport or off street parking in surrounding streets is suggested.

FREE (Note: No Friday night event this year)
Over the weekend there will be a coffee van with snacks and there are a couple of cafes nearby, but you may wish to bring a packed lunch with you.

Raffles: Three tickets for $5 – prizes include subscriptions to your favourite genealogy websites, DNA kits, magazine subscriptions, membership fees, research tools and services. 

Exhibition room: Hillsborough Room - lower ground floor

Research assistance: Puketāpapa Room near main entrance and at exhibitors’ tables in Hillsborough Room

Seminar rooms: Waikowhai Room, Lynfield Room and Senior Citizens Room, lower ground floor. No bookings required. Seats on a first come, first serve basis. Each seminar room will be emptied out after each presentation. No reserving seats.

Workshops/Ask-an-expert sessions: Puketāpapa Room (lower ground floor); and Three Kings Room (upper ground floor, library level). Bookings only available on the day at the Information Desk, restricted numbers.

Free computer workshops: Mt Roskill Library computer area (upper ground floor). Bookings only available on the day at the Information Desk. Twelve public PCs available but you are most welcome to bring your own device (laptop/tablet) and join in using the library WiFi.

Raffles: Sold at Information Desk and by roaming volunteers. Eftpos available. Prizes collected at Information Desk.
