Get the PressReader app

Your PressReader account
Open PressReader in the browser to set up or sign into your Pressreader account.
Create an account with your email address to manage your favourite publications. Or, sign in with your Auckland Libraries barcode number and PIN/password to start your remote access.
Enjoy access to:
- Unlimited downloads.
- No holds queues, unlimited copies available.
- 1 year backfile of most publications.
Please note:
- You’ll need to sign in again after 30 days to renew your access
- You can find PressReader items when you search the Auckland Libraries catalogue.
- PressReader downloads won’t show on your account in the library catalogue. You’ll need to access items via the PressReader app or website.

Limited access
Access to some New Zealand publications on PressReader is limited due to publisher restrictions.
You can access New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME) titles at our libraries on your device or on a public computer.
- NZME titles include: The New Zealand Herald, Weekend Herald and The Herald on Sunday.
You are now able to borrow today’s NZ Herald newspaper on the Borrowbox app. This is accessible from anywhere and the newspaper can be downloaded to your device for up to 7 days.
Go to the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store to download the BorrowBox app.
You can access Stuff Ltd titles at our libraries using the public computers. Remote access and downloads are unavailable.
- Stuff Ltd titles: Manawatu Standard, Marlborough Express, Nelson Mail, NZ Gardener, NZ House & Garden, The Post, The Press, The Southland Times, Sunday News, Sunday Star-Times, Taranaki Daily News, The Timaru Herald, The TV Guide and Waikato Times.
