Makerfest 2017

When: 14 May - 3 June
Where: Whau Libraries (New Lynn, Blockhouse Bay, Avondale)
Cost: Free, check individual events for booking requirements

Makerfest is a Whau Libraries festival celebrating creativity, innovation, imagination and learning for all ages.

It aims to capture the Makerspace spirit –  turning your local Whau libraries into collaborative spaces where people in the Whau community from all walks of life can come together to make, learn, explore and share ideas.

You will find something for everyone during Makerfest - from learning to build and code a robot and engineering with LEGO to learning how to needle felt or upcycle unwanted items in plant pots!

The third week specifically aims to support Whau Youth Week, encouraging young people to take on challenges, share ideas and focus on the positive aspects of being young.

Please note - workshop places are limited so be sure to book with the relevant library to guarantee your place!
