You can renew most items up to two times, as long as they have not been requested by someone else.
*Sheet music with parts on a 90 day loan period can only be renewed once.
The renewal period is the same as the initial check out period.
There is no renewal fee, but if you paid a rental fee to borrow the item, you will need to pay that fee again.
Our autorenewal function automatically renews most unreturned items on your library account for another 28 days.
Check your due dates on each item in your courtesy email to see which items have been auto-renewed and which ones you need to return to one of our 55 libraries.
Please take good care of any items you borrow. If you lose or damage a library item, please
contact us as soon as possible. A replacement charge will need to be paid, which may include an administration fee.
The following overdue charges apply per item per day.
It is free to place a request.
There is a $2 charge if you do not pick up a request that has arrived for you (this only applies to adult memberships).
Charges apply to in-depth research, including
whakapapa and family history, as well as for the retrieval and supply of articles, including community newspapers.
The first 30 minutes is free. After the first 30 minutes, there is a charge of $25 per half hour.
Any photocopying, printing and postage charges are additional.
