About Bestie
Bestie is a collection of new and bestselling books available at our libraries. There are no holds or renewals on Bestie books, so you can pick one up and read it right away!
We’ll be featuring international and local authors, with a changing selection of the latest releases. Pop in and grab a Bestie from a library near you.
How Bestie works
- Two-week loan
- Limit of two Besties at a time
- No renewals (you can't extend your loan)
- No holds (you can't reserve or request Bestie copies)
- Available in all libraries, except mobile libraries
The Bestie books
Can't find it at a library?
Our libraries will have different selections of Bestie books on their shelves. If you can't find a particular Bestie at a library, try the options below.
- Some Bestie books are available as eBooks and eAudiobooks from Libby and
OverDrive .
- You can borrow one Bestie eBook or eAudiobook at a time for two weeks (no holds or renewals).
- You can still join the holds queue for Bestie titles in the library catalogue. Holds are filled from our regular lending collection, and it will take a bit longer than picking up a Bestie copy in the library. Request a title in the library catalogue.
Note: If you pick up a Bestie title that you have on hold, please remember to cancel your hold once you've read it! This helps to speed up the holds queue for others. Log in to your account
