National survey: How libraries contribute to community wellbeing

The role of the public library and librarians has evolved over the years into being vital hubs that support the community with a range of services, activities and collections.

Public Libraries of New Zealand (PLNZ) and Taituarā – Local Government Professionals Aotearoa are running a national survey to collect data on how libraries are perceived by the community across Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Auckland Council Libraries would love for you to take five minutes to fill in this survey about what you think about your library and its value in the community.

Please note: If you don't use the library, you can still complete the survey and provide your feedback. When you get to Question 6, select ‘No’ and complete the set of questions for non-library users.

The survey is open until 4 November 2022, and the data will be collated by Taitaurā and used to improve how public libraries demonstrate the value that their contributions make to their communities.
