The centre has one of the most comprehensive international family history collections in the Southern Hemisphere.
The extensive core collection covers the following countries: New Zealand (including whakapapa), Australia, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, mainland Europe, South Africa, USA, Canada and the Pacific Islands.
