We know that some Aucklanders have outstanding charges on their library cards for lost or damaged books, which means we might not have seen you in a while.
Make a fresh start at your library between 1 July and 30 September 2022 and we’ll remove all charges for lost and damaged books from your library account. Then we can get you started on an amazing journey with your library card!

There are some easy ways to clear the charges from your library account.
If you still have the library items, you can return them to any of our libraries, including our mobile libraries, and the charges will be automatically removed. Easy!
If you don’t have the items anymore, that’s all good. Just get in touch with our friendly staff, who will be happy to remove the charges for you.
