Get creative at the new Central City Library Makerspace!

A "makerspace" is a place where people can collaborate, innovate and create using information, resources and tools provided.

You can play, tinker, explore, and meet others with similar interests to share knowledge and make connections with.

Come and experiment with the help of library staff during our free-use hours. The space will be equipped with computers using free open-source software, a 3D printer and robotics kits are available to use.

If you want to use the Makerspace, bookings are essential. To book, fill out this online booking form for a free-use session.

If you need specific help with a project, drop by or make an appointment with a librarian.

Find us on Facebook.

Makerspace hangouts

Auckland Libraries Makerspace hosts regular 3D printing or computer game-making "hangouts".

These casual sessions are an opportunity to share and learn from others. Beginners are welcome, and experts are encouraged to come along and share your knowledge!

Find out when the next hangout is happening on our Eventbrite page.
