Pacific collections are held at the majority of libraries across the region. They include both current and heritage materials.
A range of Pacific Island family history materials is held in the Central Auckland Research Centre, including a collection of microfilms of some of the registers (births, marriages and deaths) for various Pacific nations.
The Research Centres hold selections of reference books, periodicals, and other published materials relating to Pacific history and society, and Pacific Island communities in New Zealand.
The South Auckland Research Centre also collects current New Zealand based Pacific newspapers when available. Titles include New Zealand Pacific and Samoa Times.
Knowledge Basket PINI (formerly Niustext) provides full-text access to a range of Pacific Island newspapers and news sources.
A number of significant Pacific collections are included in the Sir George Grey Special Collections.

The Heritage Images database includes historical images of a number of Pacific Island nations, particularly those with close links to New Zealand.
The Footprints database includes a selection of images of Pacific people and communities in South Auckland and North Waikato areas.
Manukau's Journey is a selection of significant and representative events from the history of the former Manukau City and adjoining areas.
