Life 100 Years Ago and the Auckland Weekly News

Auckland Libraries is contributing towards Life 100 Years Ago, an initiative from the Ministry for Culture and Heritage. This is aimed at helping New Zealanders understand more about the First World War from a personal perspective.

Auckland Libraries will be tweeting images from the supplement to the Auckland Weekly News dating from the years prior to and throughout the First World War.

The images will be tweeted 100 years to the day after they were originally published. These "picture stories" give an immediate and visual insight into the war from a Kiwi point of view.

You can follow us on @AkWeeklyNews or through the aggregated tweet feed @life100yearsgo.
