You get charged for each side you print. If it's double-sided, you pay double.

Charges apply to in-depth research, including whakapapa and family history, as well as for the retrieval and supply of articles, including community newspapers. 

The first 30 minutes is free for full Auckland Council Libraries members. After the first 30 minutes, there is a charge of $25 per half hour. For non-members, a charge of $25 per half hour will apply.

Any photocopying, printing and postage charges are additional.

Heritage collections are located at Special Collections Reading Room, Research Central and Research South.     

Many images can be downloaded for free from our heritage photographs on Kura. Copyright restrictions may apply.

Reproduction fee for commercial use of images, per image – $125 

On-site photography using own camera (with staff guidance, some restrictions may apply) – free.

Some libraries have rooms for hire – please contact the relevant library to discuss price and availability.
