Auckland Libraries’ family history librarian, Seonaid Lewis, will demonstrate how the UK census can enhance your family history research, as well as highlight the pitfalls that lie in wait to trip you up.

Genealogists rather irreverently and ghoulishly talk about 'killing off their ancestors', but death is an important part of our research, just as in everyday life. As researchers, we can find out much about our ancestors from sources other than just death certificates. Seonaid Lewis, takes you through the different types of resources that can be used, and where they can be found when 'killing off your ancestor'.
