- As of March 1, 2022, the legacy OverDrive app is no longer available to download from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the Microsoft store. Users who have the OverDrive app (mobile or desktop) installed will still be able to use it without disruption. All users can continue to access our library’s OverDrive website & Libby app.
- As of October 2021, the legacy OverDrive for Mac desktop app is only supported on macOS versions 10.12.1 through 10.14.
We recommend using the Libby app on your smartphone or tablet instead.
- As of 7 December 2020, OverDrive has discontinued support for the Libby app for Windows devices. Windows users will still be able to use Libby by going to
libbyapp.com , which offers the same features as the Libby app, except the ability to download books for offline use. Reading data will be preserved as much as possible, including active loans and holds.
- As of 20 November 2020, Overdrive no longer supports the Chrome Web Store version of the OverDrive app. This version was previously available to ChromeOS (e.g. Chromebook) users. - To run the Overdrive app on your mobile device you will require iOS 5+ or Android 5.0+. If you receive a message about losing digital library access on a Windows 7 computer, you may need to install Windows updates and/or update your browser to the latest version.
