Your library account
When you join Auckland Council Libraries, your details, checkouts, holds and reading history are saved to your library account.

You can log in to your library account from the Auckland Council Libraries website or in the library catalogue when searching for items.

You’ll need your library barcode number to log in. Find your barcode number on the back of your library card, in your welcome email or in any email reminders from Auckland Council Libraries.

Reading history
You can view library items you’ve checked out from the library on your account. Log in and select the ‘Reading history’ tab. You can opt in or out of reading history at any time on your ‘Profile’.

Lost or expired library card
If you’ve lost your library card, visit one of our libraries with photo ID and we’ll give you a free replacement card.

You can pay library fees and charges online or in person at your local library. To pay online, log in to your account and go to ‘Fees and charges’ under the ‘My Bookshelf’ tab.
