    Makerspace

The Makerspace at Central City Library has 3D printers, sewing equipment, and computers packed with creative software. The Makerspace has something for all ages. Staff are available to teach you how to use our equipment. If you want to find out more or request a booking, send us an email at makerspace@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz

    3D printers

We have Ultimaker 2+ and Ultimaker 3. Our 3D Printers can turn a digital 3D model into a real-world object!

We offer a Click and collect service, staff assisted and DIY bookings. We currently only offer printing in Grey. If you want to use the machine yourself, we require that your first booking is with a staff member so you’re familiar with the processes that we use.

For any enquiries or to make a booking email us at makerspace@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz

    Sewing machine

We have a Sewing Machine, Overlocker and Embroidery Machine.

The Makerspace has a range of basic tools and thread to help you use the machine, it’s up to you to bring in a project to work on. The sewing machine can be used without a staff induction but for your first booking with our overlocker and embroidery machine, we require that a staff member help you.
