Auckland Council Libraries: Staff support, JP and CAB

Staff support, JP and CAB

Librarian assisting a young customer at a library.

When visiting a library, our friendly staff can answer your questions and recommend books from the shelves or in the library catalogue.

Book a librarian

You can book one-on-one time with a librarian to get help with computer skills, accessing resources, creating a CV, research and more. Ask at your local library or fill out our online form. Book a librarian

JP and CAB services

Most of our libraries have a service desk where a Justice of the Peace (JP) is available to the public. Check the JP schedule at your library.

Many of our libraries also have a Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB). Check if there is a CAB at your library.

Please note

JP and CAB services operate separately from Auckland Libraries. Please visit their websites to view their hours or find other locations.

Other services

We offer assistance in a range of areas, including research and access. Our specialist Māori and Pasifika staff are also available at various libraries and can help you in the library or with research.
